DESCRIPTION
I use my custom illustrations and typographic skills to manufacture custom menus for restaurants and businesses.
One of these menus is branded for a high-end seafood restaurant, and the other is branded for a casual sports bar that serves BBQ. However, both brands are set up to be a part of the same conglomerate.
BRIEF
The concept between “Surf” and “The Turf” was to play with both seafood and land food branding in a fun, yet appropriate way. This gives clients the option to brand both a high-end and casual restaurant simultaneously.
IMPACTS/AWARDS
-Everyone in my Graphic Design class really liked the Surf design
-Surf feels appropriate to my personal (Killer Kale) brand.

VERSIONS/TESTING
Version 1 of the Surf menu needed some readjusting. The “Raw Bar” section was originally too cramped. And some of the line weights were inconsistent.
WHAT WENT WRONG...
Luckily, I can report minimal mistakes on this project. There were minor things I wish I had done differently, mostly regarding the cartoon styles that I used for The Turf characters. However, I am very happy with the final designs overall.
